1 Terms and Conditions of Use

These website "terms and conditions of use" apply to the use of the website operated by the Association Royale des Sociétés Scientifiques Médicales Belges-Koninklijke Vereniging van de Belgische Medisch-Wetenschappelijke Genootschappen-Royal Belgian Association of Medical Scientific societies (ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS), a Belgian non-profit organisation (ASBL/VZW), and  to all 'content' from the website such as scientific, technical, contractual, product, programme, pricing information.

ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS reserves the right to amend these terms & conditions at its sole discretion, without prior notice, or condition that details of the amendments are published on the ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS website. They become effective from the time of posting. Use of the website after the posting constitutes acceptance of the modified terms & conditions.

  6. Contents in Private Membership Area cannot be copied or distributed by the Members.

3. General Conditions

Content, products and services
Access to certain content is available only to users who have registered to the Private Area, the secured and personalised account that ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS may offer. Similarly, access to certain other content is conditional upon subscription to a particular product or service.
User registration
User registration, via the registration form, is required to access personal services online and certain online content. The user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his/her account login details.
The user registration is unique and personal. It should not be shared with anyone.
ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS shall not be held responsible for unauthorised use of the user’s account by a third party to whom the user may have, intentionally or not, disclosed his/her account login details.
Products & Services
It is possible to acquire certain products and services such as membership services or registration for congresses and courses organised by ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS or in conjunction with ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS via the private area. ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS reserves the right to change or remove particular ordering methods without prior notice. Changes in the ordering procedure will be posted on the product or service page.

Unavailability/Force Majeure
ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS disclaims all responsibilities for the unavailability of the ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS website and services caused by conditions beyond its control including and/or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of ARSMB-KVBMG-RBAMS.


Liability

Histoire

L’ARSMB (Association Royale des Sociétés Scientifiques Médicales Belges) a été fondée en 1945 par les Docteurs Brohée, De Keyzer, De Moor, Lambin et Lorthioir dans le but de centraliser la documentation médicale belge et de rassembler les différentes publications sous le titre « Acta Medica Belgica ».

Ses activités se sont progressivement étendues de façon à faciliter le progrès des sciences médicales ainsi que l’action scientifique des sociétés médicales belges et de toute organisation belge dont l’objet principal est la promotion de cette action scientifique, notamment par la publication de leurs travaux, la prise en charge de leurs fonctions logistiques et l’aide à leurs secrétariats.

Actuellement, l’ARSMB regroupe 26 sociétés et assure la diffusion de 1 revue scientifique.

History

The RBAMS (Royal Belgian Association of Medical Scientific societies) was founded in 1945 by the doctors Brohée, De Keyzer, De Moor, Lambin and Lorthioir. Their purpose was to centralize the Belgian medical publications under the title “Acta Medica Belgica”.

Progressively the association started to focus on the progress of medical sciences in Belgium, through the Belgian medical societies and all Belgian organisations with similar  ambitions. Publication of scientific articles, logistic support and secretarial  aid  were just a few of the many means employed.

Today, the RBAMS includes 26 societies and 1 medical journal.

Geschiedenis

De KVBMG (Koninklijke Vereniging van de Belgische Medisch - Wetenschappelijke Genootschappen) werd gesticht in 1945 door de Dokters Brohée, Lambin, De Keyzer, De Moor en Lorthioir met het doel de Belgische medische publicaties te centraliseren en de verschillende uitgaven te verenigen onder de titel « Acta Medica Belgica ».

Haar activiteiten werden geleidelijk uitgebreid tot het bevorderen van de medisch-wetenschappelijke vooruitgang en het opdrijven van het wetenschappelijke niveau van de Belgische medische Verenigingen of van elke Belgische organisatie waarvan het hoofddoel is deze wetenschappelijke activiteit te ondersteunen. Dit meer bepaald door het publiceren van hun manuscripten, het overnemen van hun logistieke taken en het leveren van bijstand aan hun secretariaten.

Vandaag telt de KVBMG 26 Verenigingen en verzekert ze de verspreiding van 1 tijdschrift.
